Welcome to Springfield Cottages - two tastefully converted 3 bedroomed stone cottages. These buildings were originally the stables in the adjoining (but private) yard to the main house, which is our family home. The property is situated in a quiet, rural location and dogs and chickens have always been part of our domestic scene.

The cottages are part of an estate set in 10 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside located on the south slopes of the Mendip Hills, the setting is just right for nature lovers who may wish to appreciate the wide range of wildlife, the country plants that grow in profusion in the area and wonderful country walks.

Each cottage has its own small enclosed garden, with ample furniture and BBQ. The yard can accommodate a good number of vehicles for off-road parking and is accessed through a separate entrance and track from the road.

For those who may wish to explore the area, historic Wells (smallest city in England), Glastonbury and Bath are only a short drive away. Longleat House, Stourhead and the famous Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton are all within half an hour's drive.

Each season brings its own natural beauty and any time is perfect to visit this lovely part of Somerset. The area is ideal for bird lovers, walker's, cyclists, fishing, golf or for those who wish to visit the many sites of historical and international interests.

The quiet hamlet of Stoney Stratton is less than a mile away from the village of Evercreech, famous for its Church bells and unusual clock on the tower. Evercreech has a country pub, Post Office/stores, baker, chemist and hairdressers.

The area is blessed with many country pub/restaurants therefore the visitor is really spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out.

We are open all year for long or short breaks - and long weekends, which are very popular.

Full central heating (included in the price) ensures that both cottages are really quite cosy even on the coldest of nights. Wi-fi is available in both cottages.
